The Northern Ireland Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (NICATS) is a credit framework which is a set of principles and guidelines for valuing, describing, measuring and recognising all learning.

This includes learning in traditional settings such as schools, colleges and universities as well as learning within the community and in the workplace.

Find out about how NICATS is involved in setting credit equivalences for units and qualifications, credit-based funding, Access to HE modules and providing guidance to HE.
